The government is considering providing defense industries with updated arms-acquisition plans every three years rather than the current five.
A Defense Ministry official said Saturday that the new acquision plans will provide detailed information on defense equipment and weapons systems the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Marine Corps plan to purchase.
The official said the government is considering providing the new acquisition plans to 90 defense companies certified by the Defense Security Command.
