The Defense Ministry has selected 13 projects next year to mark the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War.
The ministry plans to hold commemorative events to mark the nine major battles that changed the course of the war, including the Incheon Landing, which occurred on September 15th, 1950.
The government will also produce a pamphlet on the demilitarized zone (DMZ) in order to inform the public of facts and truths about the war and to boost public awareness about security and national defense.
In addition, the ministry will run a blog about the war, produce a musical and hold an international cycle competition near the area bordering North Korea. |
